Day Camp
Willow Creek Farm summer riding camp begins July 13,2009 thru August 9, 2009 and is weekly. Riding is from 10 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday for children ages 8 and up.
The camp consists of no more than 10 children with 2 qualified instructors and 3 camp conselors. The goal of our camp is to give those that attend all around Knowledge and experience with horses. Your child can expect to learn about basic horse care. this may include such things as how to feed or basic first aid for your horse. Your child will learn how to properly prepare your horse for equestrian riding including saddling and bridling.
Each day starts with a riding lesson. Through out the week beginner students can expect to learn proper equitation, how to walk, halt, steer, and trot. More experienced equestrian riders can expect to work on refining their equitation both at the walk , trot and canter, adding in poles and small jumps.
Another goal of our camp is for everyone to have fun and make great lasting memories. We like to spend part of each day playing games, swimming, field trips, and arts and crafts. At the end of each week, we celebrate with a pizza party and foot jumping competition with fun prizes.
